Training Camps

Hi

Me again Smile

Just wanted to know people's opinions on training camps in the game.

I've always considered them cheating and effectively the PCM equivalent of doping. I just wanted to know if anyone uses them and if so how long is the optimal time to go on a camp for maximum effect and how long do the effects last?

Do the other teams have training camps or are they only available to me?

I'm just thinking because with Sky I have decent cobble riders in Thomas, Stannard, EBH & Wiggins but none are going to win a major cobble race unless they are on an amazing day and the race pans out in their favour i.e no attacks from the big names.
With a training camp I could possibly turn them into real contenders but have a bit of a moral dilemma as I simply never used training camps before.

What do you all think?

I use training camps purely for pre-season fitness.

I don't use them at all. But in my experience punchers with COB as low as 70 stand a chance of getting a good result (top 10) in the northern classics except for Paris-Roubaix. Ok, winning a race is going to be tough, but I doubt a training camp will help much.
