As most of you know the Track World Championships are upon us. The venue this year is lovely Manchester There is the grantee of lots of action and whoever got tickets were lucky, i couldn't get any :cry: Oh well ill watch it on Eurosport.
Anyways the schedule looks like this :
Day 1
Men's individual pursuit qualifying & finals; Men's scratch race; Men's team sprint qualifying & final; Women's 500m TT final;
Day 2
Men's team pursuit qualifying & finals; Men's sprint 200m qualifying, 1/16 final , 1/8 final, repechages, 1/4 finals & 5th to 8th; Women's individual pursuit qualifying & final; Women's team sprint qualifying & final;
Day 3
Men's sprint 1/2 finals & finals; Men's points race 15 km qualifying & 40km final; Women's sprint 200m qualifying, 1/16 final, repechage, 1/8 finals, 1/4 finals & 5th to 8th; Women's team pursuit qualifying & finals;
Day 4
Men's keirin 1st round, repechages, 2nd round, 7 to 12 & final; Men's Madison 50 km final Women's sprint 1/2 finals & finals; Women's points race 10 km qualifying & 25 km final;
Day 5
Men's omnium 200m, pursuit, points race, scratch race & kilo TT; Men's kilometre TT final; Women's keirin 1st round, repechages, 2nd round, 7 to 12 & final; Women's scratch 5 km qualifying & 10 km final;
Ill post more up about the favorites etc later. But i cant wait for the start and im looking forward to hopefully the Brits getting some golds |

It's a lot more exciting than it appears to be

That's what I mean. The World Championship is coming to Copenhagen in 2010, and I'll definitely go watch it.
As far as I recall, the World Championship was also here a few years ago. I was there then, despite never having seen a track race before. It's a lot more interesting when you're there. Really intense. |

Ill be going on Saturday (Day 4). Hope to see Hoy win the Keirin, Cavendish+Wiggins win the Madison, and Pendleton win the Women's sprint.

I went all the way to Mallorca to watch it last year, so I'm pretty annoyed that I can't make it up the road to Manchester. The worst thing is I'm accredited too.

I won't pretend to know what accredited means () but that's not as bad as Crommy, who lives in England, didn't even go to the Tour de France in London

a heck of a lot of riders try very hard to "stabilize" themselves at 49.9%
