Australia has a nice couple of great puncheurs. But in absence of McCarthy the expected fight is between Bobridge, Meyer (and the breakaway?).
First clearly has the biggest support. Actually the team even is split, so that Morton could be their other option.
Haas, Lloyd, Walker, Dennis, Lane are other riders to watch.

8 riders in the break and actually most teams are in there including the biggest squads. This also means both Oz Cycling teams are here.
Wohler
Spokes
Renshaw
Tanner
Sutton
Hepburn
Edmondson
Rogers
Risa, Compal and Stobart are the other teams with a nice amount of riders. All of them also in there.

Still the peloton had an okay pace surprisingly. Also the group itself was not ideally working and it`s Sutton and Tanner attacking with 30km to go.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2015/Races/NC/AUS/mg2015_ausrr_PCM0015.jpg

Only Wohler as third riders still ahead of the peloton when Bobridge`s Oz squad was chasing hard.
Still some riders decide to attack:
Lane
Bayly
Earle

With one full lap to go though the break is in sight and we see the big attack.
Bobridge first.
Behind him the Risa duo Haas/Meyer but also Walker and Lloyd.
As strongest puncheurs those five quickly establish a gap and are only 20s behind the other attackers. Actually it`s six as Sutton was still ahead and now dropps back to Walker to support him.

3,5km left and the two groups did fusion meanwhile.
Now with only the uphill left the top favourite Bobridge with another attack and only Meyer is trying to follow. Though he never was able to close the gap and even lost in the end.
Behind them Lloyd and Walker solo each. Then a group of 15 another 30s.

So the Oz rider takes the favourite win.
Meyer in 2nd ahead of Lloyd and Haas. Well done Oz.

Small note: Michael Ford as only rider did abandon today. Does he lack a good form or was it tactic for the ITT?

Next up the Aussie time trial champs. Oz Cycling the obvious favourite and basically half their team is on the watch out list.
Main challengers from Risa in Howson and Dempster.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2015/Races/NC/AUS/mg2015_austt_PCM0031.jpg

Olman as one of the early starters and his time is impressive. He finishes with 1h08'07.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2015/Races/NC/AUS/mg2015_austt_PCM0032a.jpg

And the time stayed and stayed. Howson finished 1'16 off.
And also Ford, Dempster and Durbridge struggled to do anything. They all were almost 2min off and no other came even close to them.

So Olman won and it was not due to weather conditions really. Only small changes there. He just had the ride of his life, while Ford and Durbridge were disappointing and even behind Howson in 2nd.
