Reigning champion Bru is a climber just like Martinez.
Interesting tactic though. Instead of trying to control the race until the end and then sprint to victory, Mobil goes another way. They send Mojica into the break and as the other riders were looking at Granjel Cabrera he is solo.
The others are in a dilemma. Working together and spending energy but at the same time pulling the by far strongest sprinter with them?
In the end Mojica comes by minutes later lapping them, saying hello and thanks and leaving them behind again.
In the end he basically lapped them 4 times taking a nice win here. Granjel Cabrera looks a bit annoyed here as possibly all other tactics had delivered him the win. But for Mobil it`s a jersey for their team.
In the TT it`s again Mojica having a good chance to make the double. Martinez though is a very similar rider against the clock. So those two should battle it out.
Martinez is on the road earlier and takes the best time at the first split.
Mojinca, who was TT champion last year can`t beat it. 5s behind in 2nd.
9s at the 2nd split and 14s at the 3rd.
Martinez keeps the lead until the end and takes the NC. 18s ahead of Mojinca, who possibly did spend more energy in the RR.
