Not the most exciting for most managers as only jph`s Ayubowan! team is at the start. 5 Sri Lankan`s will battle each other with Sisira being top favourite as only climber.

Early on though 3 of those 5 attack:
Nugara
Fernando
Rajapakshage

This means Sisira and reigning champion Sandakelum are behind.

So they have chased them down. Or at least for a short time as two riders attack again. Same as the first time but without Nugara, who now stays behind.

Fernando and Rajapakshage are allowed to get a 15min gap. So who of them will take the NC?

Climbing wise similar weak riders. So who has the better legs today? They waited until the 1km mark before attacking each other.

But Rajapakshage is the one to create a gap now.

And he takes it. A pity for all reporters as Fernando would have been so much easier to spell.

In the TT Nugara is top favourite ahead of RR winner Rajapakshage.

New RR winner Rajapakshage is the challenger. He starts with a 19'57 after 10km.

But reigning champ Nugara beats him by 11s at this point.

And as he gained about 10-11s in between every split, Nugara defends the jersey and wins the ITT NC of Sri Lanka.
