Cyprus National Championships

Flat course in Cyprus. Elta the favourite team. Not only do they have 3 riders but also the two favourites with the Skettos brothers?
Chernobyl and Netia with an outsider rider each.

Not ideal for Elta though as their rider in the breakaway is Adamou. The other is Chernobyl`s Athanasiades, who should be the stronger of those two.
But with Adamou in the break, the two Skettos won`t do anything and so those two will decide the NC.

4,5km and also Adamou has realized that he won`t win in a sprint against Athanasiades. So he attacks before the sprint.

Athanasiades not giving up though and tries to close the gap.

But just when the gap was small, Adamou accelerates again. Great final here.

And this time it was enough. Brilliant win for Adamou and the Elta team. Chernobyl surely a bit disappointed by this outcome.

The RR protagonists will also be the favourites today. Both are very equal and while Athanasiades looks a bit stronger, Adamou has shown yesterday, that he can still beat him in a direct duel.

But it`s Athanasiades taking the first and second split. 13s at half time. Still doable for Adamou.

But he won`t. 19s at the 3rd and 24 in the finish. So Chernobyl takes the ITT NC.
