Random withdrawals
Vasilis
Hi guys, I have a bug in PCM that doesn't seem to be mentioned on this forum before (correct me if I'm wrong). The problem is that at some random races, one of my riders is eliminated from the race after it's ridden. Usually they make the top 10, but then they get eliminated afterwards. I've also had this issue with PCM 2014. What happens is this: I just ride the race, then we get to the results and one of my riders is missing from the top 10's that go with the podiums. Just now, I did Giro del Trentino stage 4. Hesjedal wins, Poels finishes second, Roche gets 5th and Seb. Henao gets 7th (& Boswell 9th). Then I get to the podiums and Henao isn't there, and only 9 names are shown in the top 10 (numbered 1-9). Then on the results page, no one finished 7th and he is listed all the way at the bottom as having withdrawn and now he suddenly has a fractured thigh, although he didn't fall during the stage. It randomly happens, not at a particular race and if I retry, it doesn't happen.
I don't want to retry the stage, because I already did that several times anyway, and its pretty tedious to put him back in the results with an editor, considering I will have to move down a spot everyone who finished lower on GC than him, and change the palmares of riders too.
It's been getting pretty frequent recently, I had Sergio Henao eliminated from the Amstel Gold Race, although he did actually crash and suffer, but he still finished, Puccio and Lopez were eliminated from Flèche Wallonne and now at Trentino.
On another note, you're supposed to be able to choose your sprinter's trajectory in a sprint finish, but I don't know how that works.

Cheers,

Vasilis

Exact same problem I am suffering from. Searched multiple threads on sites in search of someone with the same problem and a solution for it.
Perhaps useful info:
I have purchased PCM2015 with steam, I added a realname database and I am using windows 10.
Is there anyone out there with a solution? I am getting tired of having to use an old save to overwrite my data again so I can redo almost a week worth of playing time.

Thanks in advance!

It's a feature, not a bug. Smile It has been discussed before, it happens and it's a nuisance - thankfully, it doesn't happen very often. If I had to guess, the game uses the same probability of a rider crashing out of the race after a stage in 3D mode as it does with a simulated stage. Which of course makes no sense because we didn't see the rider crash and did see him cross the finish line. But that's just the way it is.

Accept it or load your last weekly save or manually make a copy of your save game before every stage. If you don't mind that the rider is out of the race, just find the injury frustrating, that is easy enough to fix with an external editor.

Oh okay that makes sense. I guess I just became unlucky last few races. Thanks for the clarification. Sorry for asking but how can I manually copy my in-game save to make sure I do not have to redo multiple stages after something like this happens? As for now I have to use a weekly save to go back a couple of days and stages.. Do you know where to extract these in-game saves from?

The folder where your save games are is roughly Documents/Pro Cycling Manager/Users/[Username]/Database/Solo/[Database]. You select your save game (.cdb), right-click, select copy, then select any other folder (personally, I just place it right on my desktop), right-click and paste. You don't have to exit the game to do this (use Alt+Tab).

It's even more annoying when it's the final mountain stage and your TJVG just beat Bardet to get the stage win and defend his GC lead with only 1 sprint stage left in a Sponsor win goal Tour of California only to have an Injury that rules him out of his main season goal of Le Tour.

At least he came back for a Vuelta Podium.

oh and to change your riders trajectory it works at any point in the stage, not just a sprint and it is by using the 4 and 6 on the numberpad, which is normally missing on Laptop's and I'm not sure if there's another way of doing it if you are playing on one.
