I'm determined to make a fantasy DB based on Expansion Pack 1.6 with fictional riders and teams (based on sponsors that are already included in PCM.daily's DB) and highly modified calendar and some other changes that I will announce later after some testing. This will be my first experience with creating DB so I can't promise you when will I finish or if everything is going to work properly. But I will try.
You can appear in this DB as a rider if you send me PM which includes:
First name:
Last name:
Nationality/Region:
Date of birth:
Height and weight:
Skillset: (you can just write your speciality or be more specific eg. climber with good finish and downhill but poor TT)
And optionally:
Team preferention: (you can write in which kind of team would you prefer to appear eg. domestic team, anglophone WT team or continental team etc. I haven't decided which teams will appear in the DB, yet, so I can't give you list of teams to chose from)
Reputation and skill level: (if you prefer to be someone other than big star, let me know. If you leave this empy, I will try to include you as world class and popular rider)
Other things: (maybe I forgot to include something you would like to be included)
I can't promise you how good you will be or if the team you will ride for will strictly meet your preferred criteria but I will do my best.
If you have experience with DBs you can help me with some tips:
a) The biggest concern I have is if rider's calendars will look as they should. I'm going to make huge changes in calendar and drop current 3 GTs format so I'm not sure how this will pan out. I would be grateful for any tips on how to create leader's starting programs in editor properly.
b) So far I've already encountered one problem. If I add new race to the calendar, pink squares appear in the team choice section at the start of carrer mode. Season progresses normally, teams and riders participate in this race and WT points are counted correctly for it. Any idea on where may the problem lie and how could I fix it? I don't think I changed anything apart from: STA_race, STA_race_rules and STA_stage.
c) Can anyone tell me if STA_training_exercise is responsible only for progress of riders from player's team, or for progress of riders from other teams too? If not, then what is responsible for progress of riders from other teams?

I'm soon to start some testing on riders development. I will try some tricks and changes to make newgens better all-rounders, because now most of good newgens are only good in 2-3 skills even at their peak and they differ quite significantly from real riders in most of databases in this aspect. I will try to improve the situation with annoying disproportion between MO and HI and between SP, CO and FL, hoping that there are no MO 78 HI 69 riders anymore.
I've made some changes to the xml YoungRiderCarac files as well as STA_training_exercise and STA_type_rider.
I'm in the middle of my 2nd season in testing career and effects look promising. Rider's progress and deterioration seem to process more all-around and there are no so many riders with good main skill, but really poor secondary skills. I need to wait more time before newgens will reach for the top to evaluate the changes properly, but so far it looks promising and I'm satisfied.
Meanwhile, I need to start my work on the calendar. I have some ideas in my mind and I'm going to create something that's differ quite significantly from real calendar and not only by replacing once race by another.
