I recently rode with Team Wisenhof, and dominated, making it to the ProTour by 500 points over the next team - Me: approx. 2600, Agritubel: 2100
Now, I had to get rid of the career because I didn't know how to sign riders. So I am asking for someone to publish a article on how to get new riders, from the July singing period to the transfers after Oct. 15, how it works, and how to take advantage of the system(An article would be easier to find and use). Is anyone up for the challenge?
Note: My new team is Tinkoff B) |

1. Got to search rider on the top tab where it say world.
2. depending on what time period your in (before August 15th) go to the bottom right and narrow the searches to end of season.
3. Click on the name of the rider you want and you will see "contact" at the bottom.
4. Click it and begin negotiating.

No, I no how to go through the motions, I need to know when to try to sign riders, and how to steal them at the lowest prices possible (so basically hints). |

Four ideas worth thinking over:
1) Once you reach December, riderfs tend to get desperate and will accept fairly low contract offers.
2) Dont sign riders you dont have a use for. Its just a waste of money and a riderslot better spent on someone else.
3) Start from day 1 (July the 15th) with making offers so you can get the riders you want before the AI starts buying them.
4) Dont be afraid to go over the budget.

Errr, usually a good tip is that there are a few riders (really good ones) that don't accept any offers by december the 20th or so. These are easy pickings, if you offer about half that they want they usually accept rather then go without a contract for a year. (Its how i picked contador up for 15,000 a month rather than the 140,000 he's asking for now...)
Another good tip is just to shortlist riders through the year who's contracts are running out, or are free riders and when the season for bidding starts, offer them contracts straight away. The higher, better position and money you offer them results in a better chance of them accepting.

But I was allowed to negotiate with riders on July 1st, I think that you are thinking of OCtober 15th, the day that buying riders starts |

You can negotiate with your own riders whenever you want to. You can negotiate with riders with contracts ending the same year and free riders from july. To be honest you may well be right, i don't often get to the end of a year to negotiate. Just start lots... and lots...
And riders with contracts you negotiate with from October the 15th i suppose. Whatever.

I'd try to sign them, and not sing to them.
I've found that normally helps

The thread title is also wrong...
Or maybe it isn't and that's why you never manage to sign any good riders
Tell me, what is your tactic? Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up or maybe Europe's The Final Countdown?

I don't think you can call it rickroll when I say it is a Rick Astley's video... Or isn't it a RA video? Muahahahaha
