Welcome to to Russia and welcome to over 200 km of racing just outside the Russian capital and today we have PT's biggest sprinters and probably the most talented of all together! The sights for an russian winner lies a far cry from the possible and all we can say is that they're welcome to try!
As any kind of race we got a Breakaway and that was presented by :
Anatoliy Sosnitskiy
Johann Tschopp
Maxime La Lavandier
The break was given a leash on 6 minutes, but Vesuvio and Quickstep decide to burn that leash and start hunting them down with 110 km left!
If the break is catched early it will open the race up, but it is doubtful that these teams want this to happen! This is also the chance to get ready for the final assault in the strategy and make sure everything is ready!
The teams were perhaps a little too eager to close down the breakaway quickly and with 30 km the break only got a 1 minute gap! Futhermore we see our first attack attempt with Lasse Norman Hansen!
This attack increased the packs pace and furthermore leaves 113 riders behind! The pace set by Vesuvio has been high for the last 100 kilometers and now they give it their last bet! Left behind are some big favorites, this include:
Theo Bos
Bryan Coquard
Ismaël Kip
Daniele Bennati
Danny Van Poppel
Another former winner loses contact with 18 km left and it's none other than Danilo Napolitano! Meanwhile out front Hansen still only have about 10 seconds to the pack and the break myseriously still got a minute!
The main pack succeeds in capturing both Hansen and the break with 10 km left! Most of the sprinter favorites are here for the final, but some doesn't have their main leadouts with them today.
The attacking is not done and the first big outsider for the win decides to attack here with 8 km left, it's none other than Cancellara!
With him these try to attack with him:
Coppel
Rowe
Ignatiev
Ford
Cancellara enters the last 3 kilometers of the stage with an small gap down to his opponents :

Cancellara

Ignatiev
+12
Rowe
+12
Pack
+37
Bewley notice that this will be a close call if he doesn't react, so the wonderboy sets in an dangerous attack! He is pursued by :
Kristoff
Swift
Kennaugh
Bewley's daring plan is working and he has both forced an early sprint and has now overtaken Cancellara with 1 km left of the race, can he keep the high pace for so long?
He can indeed and Sam Bewley takes the GC win of GP Moscow and continues his insane season! He is the most notable rider of this year and he fits right into the superclass league of cyclists!
Peter Kennaugh takes the race second place ahead of Kristoff for the podium. Mohs comes in and saves a 4th place after a invisible race. Maksimov is best russian on 5th place and in the end Cancellara only ended up 10th
PS: Sorry about the missing pictures
Sam Bewley is a master of his craft and adds another race to his amazing Palmares and also gives his team a small boost in their run for glory in the PT. He is among the 3 biggest riders of this years Pro Tour and displayed that perfectly here, where he could force his opponents to do his bidding
