As far as I've heard, they were pretty optimistic about prolonging (spelling..) the contract, so to me, it's quite surprising. |

I really don't think that the team will have a hard time finding a replacement for CSC...
The team has to be one of the most beloved teams in the Pro Tour... Any smart company will be interested in sponsoring them... For T-Mobile and DC it was different... T-Mobile stopped sponsoring when the season was almost starting and DC have the problem of Bruyneel and the doping scandals... Not to mention USA's subprime issues that almost insures that no company has the funds to sponsor a cycling team...

As of now. But if they don't find a new sponsor, it's over |

Here's how hard it is: Quickstep is struggling to find a sponsor. They're almost at the point of giving up. Quickstep.

Team CSC maybe will get a new sponsor from Norway, Telenor.
I think they have been in conversations before, or was that C.A?
I think

For most people that don't follow cycling that thoroughly, cycling is only cycling when there are mountains envolved... And Quickstep don't really have a brilliant mountain rider and I definately think that this hurting them in the process of finding a sponsor...
