Flat rated but clearly with some hills including a very late difficulty. Time will tell what kind of rider is ideal for that stage. Breakaway?
4 in todays break.
Pökälä
Losch
Andersson
Bazhkou
So two riders with lost GC chances. Lost? With a bit over 3min they clearly hope for a small surprise today. Could they mix it up again?
With less than 10km to go the gap is down to 40s.
Generali got great support by Netia and Indosat. So at least GC wise no big impact of todays break. But it`s still one uphill section left.
Halfway up only Pökälä and Bazhkou are left as Indosat is keeping a high pace. Kruopis clearly a sprinter, that has no problems with such uphill riding. Neither has his leadout Uchima.
Popov
Banihammad
Pozdnyakov
Uchima
Serebriakov
Kruopis
Nielsen
Bole
Kuboki
Novatek still going strong with one more helper left than Indosat, where Uchima is in the wind. Also the end of todays break.
Pelucchi and Bole are behind Nielsen now. Kuboki still undecided which train to go.
Pozdnyakov in the wind and Kuboki coming fast behind the Indosat train.
Serebriakov once again as seen a couple of times this season already, no following his leadout. This is annoying for Pelucchi, Nielsen, Bole etc.
Kruopis and Kuboki on the other side see a gap and have to go now.
Pozdnyakov still has it. Kuboki, Kruopis and Pelucchi the only riders to challenge him a bit.
But it`s the Novatek rider celebrating yet another win this season.
Kuboki comes in 2nd ahead of Kruopis with Pelucchi as 4th.
Bole on a not so good 5th for him with Bazhkou somehow still sprinting to 6th ahead of Serebriakov and Rolland, who goes as GC leader onto the last stage.
Forero as 9th with yet another awful sprint.
