Beside the 2015 database we make at PCM Focus, I decide to make a 2005 database for Pro Cycling Manager 2015. I don't work on the 2015 database, so I can spend all my available time in this project. This database can be downloaded as an add-on for our 2015 database, although V0.0 can be combined with every database. It won't overwrite any files, so don't worry you can't continue your current careers. The database builds on the Savoluca DB, which has been released back in 2005. Most of the rider statistics are used from that database.
Ten years ago Cyanide released Pro Cycling Manager (2005). This summer they released Pro Cycling Manager 2015, but we sure haven't forget 2005! It was Lance Armstrong who won his last Tour de France before retiring, Tom Boonen who won the World Championships in Madrid and Pieter Weening who beat Andreas Klöden in a duel battled over just a few millimeters in the 8th stage of the Tour de France. With this project I will try to make it possible to relive these moments and write your own history.
I have released a first basic version with 43 teams, 997 riders (with statistics) and a smaller calender. With this version it is possible to play career mode, but the calender is still a 2015 light version. So no Deutschland-Tour, Züri Metzgete and so on. Also almost all the shirts are missing, just five shirts were available at this moment. Don't see this as a database, but just as a preview on the final database, which will be released around Christmas I hope.
Installation:
1. Unrar the file with for example winrar
2. Place "FDB2005DBv00.cdb" in Documents > Pro Cycling Manager 2015 > Mod > Database
3. Place "3D" in:
a. Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Pro Cycling Manager 2015 (installed via Steam)
b. Program Files (x86) > Cyanide > Pro Cycling Manager 2015 (installed via CD)
4. Accept overwriting files
5. Ingame select the database at options before starting a career or playing a solo race
The next few months I will post some previews to show you the progress. As we speak I have added a total of 55 teams (20 ProTour, 23 Pro Continental, 10 Continental and 2 development teams) and 1204 riders. Also the 2005 calender is playable and every ProTour, 2.HC, 1.HC, 2.1 and 1.1 race is in the game! This week I will show you more of the new calender and teams which are available.
