I've been playing a career mode with a custom team on PCM 2015. I've gone to load up my game today from the 'Load last save game' option, which has my file 'Career_4' highlighted, however when I click on the option nothing loads.
I then tried to load the game through the standard 'load' option to find that my career mode is vanished, and the only two files I have are 'ProCyclist_2' and 'ProCyclist_6'. So not only is my current career file gone, a whole bunch of other saves I had made have vanished too.
Just prior it strangely came up with a message from steam with my CD Key to copy it into the clipboard which I found strange because I've entered in the key like 2 months ago and have been playing fine since.
It also said there was a conflict between my PC files and Steam Cloud files, in which it said one set of files were much newer so obviously I chose to upload the newer set of files which contained my latest saves.
Once I did this it also said that the game was unable to recognize my graphics card and this could lead to poor performance. However I've been playing the game on the same laptop computer for 2/3 months which has a graphics card compatible with the DirectX level of the game and i've had no issues with whatsoever over the whole time the game has been released....
Is there a way which I can access the saves that have now vanished? Any help would be much appreciated!
You could contact Steam support or try to find out how the steam cloud is working.
You could also have a look in the weeklysave folder, there you might find older versions of your saves. How to load those weekly backups should be explained in this forum already.
