It's a rainy day at the start, so that might throw some riders of. Elijzen is the first rider out expected to set a time worth noticing, but he disappoints being 3 seconds slower than Giacoppo at the first intermediate.
The Italians time is destroyed by Rolland.
Home favourite Stannard is flying today cutting 9 seconds off Rollands time at the first time check.
Many more riders place themselves with decent times at the start.
None seems to be able to challenge Koren though, who cuts 25 seconds of Stannards time. Still many riders to go though.
Cornu disappoints massively early on, but might be saved by the rain slowing down for the last part.
With everyone past the first intermediate time this is the situation: Reus continues looking good with fastest time 28 seconds ahead of Koren going into the hill, able to see Brajkovic further up the road.
The situation with everyone past the second intermediate with only the hill to go. Keizer is looking in good shape today, but how will he handle the climb?
Not too bad is the answer looking at the time check at the top. He is 3rd fastest 46 seconds slower than Reus and 26 seconds slower than Koren
None of the remaining have the legs to change that and with only the downhill sector to it's looking good for the Dutchman. Fiedler will not be content with having to give all in a fight for the last podium spot.
