Guys, I forgot to add the new Pokerstars jersey before this stage. Sorry for that, but it'll be available from stage 2 onwards

We start this week-long event with a typical flat day for the sprinters.

The breakaway of the day is actually pretty disputed but eventually three riders break clear of the pack:

The italian would take both mountains sprints to award is wildcard team, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/aeg.png Aegon, the first KoM jersey.

The escapees actually made themselves pretty hard to catch, but with ~6km to the finish line, they were finally caugh. As such the sprint preparations may have become a little impaired. There seems to be only two narrow trains:

Inside the last km now and with all leadouts out of the way, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/pok.png Mohs takes the lead, but everyone seems to be able to keep up with him so far, with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ork.png Kennaugh, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/mei.png Appolonio and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/aeg.png Groenewegen pretty close. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/kar.png Kupfernagel looking fast as well

Yes he can! Victory for pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ork.png Peter Kennaugh. He picked the right wheel and managed he sprint perfectly to deliver a brilliant triumph to his team.

2nd is never enough for a team like pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/pok.png Pokerstars but Mohs has another chance tomorrow. His countryman pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/kar.png Kupfernagel, will also feel he could have achieved more with that final kick he had, but 3rd isn't bad at all for them.
