This May Help with Crashes

I run the game on two computers, a laptop that I use for mostly work tasks and a much more powerful gaming machine. The laptop never crashed, but the gaming computer experienced constant crashes. The laptop has a single pool of memory that the system processor and graphics processor share. The gaming computer has memory on the system board and on a graphics card. I think the game runs best in simple environments.

I've found that if I close all other programs in my gaming computer the game will run without crashing. It may be just my system, or the database I'm running, a combination of those things, or something else, but for me a quiet environment ended the crashes. I suspect it's about how the game shares memory with other programs.

A quiet system may be worth a try if you're having crashes on a gaming computer.

I am doing that, but somehow different. On my other PC, I only had 3GB of memory, so I am running it on the lowest settings and on a windowed mode, also using the lowest resolution. I use the task manager to make PCM a high priority in RAM usage. So far no crashes, and I can still browse w/ Chrome.
