Mountain stage now, featuring a summit finish on Pla de Beret. This finishing climb is rather short though, while the HC-rated climb before may already see some action between the big guns.

Bacardi taking charge of the chase and doing quite well: as we're already on the penultimate climb (25km left), the peloton narrowed the gap back to a minute.

The GC-favorites would then attack and quickly catch up to the early break! Most of the big guns on the move - Pluchkin and Amador not yet right in this new leading group, but soon to catch up.

At the mountaintop, the leading group with Pluchkin, Phinney, Dekker and Gesink leads by 57" on the peloton, that is now lead by Tenorio himself!

In between, there's still Amador (with Le Bon and Keinath) trying to bridge across the first group. Tenorio feeling the pressure and working hard with his teammates now struggling!

Good news for Amador then, as he joins the leading group prior to the final climb (8km length)! With the early break now being dropped in the meantime, it's time to check who's in the new 7-men-group at the very front:

Group Pluchkin still alltogether and about 53" ahead of those chasing groups!

Tenorio, Kohl, Brenes, Bakelants and also Pinot joined group Guldhammer a few moments later, but there's a 1'10"-gap on the leading group anyway!

And GC's 2nd Pluchkin knows what to do, as he now attacks with less than a kilometre remaining!

Huge stage for Pluchkin, obviously: Tenorio struggled and Pluchkin moves up to 1st with a 1'27"-advantage on Tenorio now! Amador 3rd ahead of Gesink, Dekker, Abal and Cunego.

Phinney now 9 minutes down on the GC-lead and there's some minor movements inside the Top-25 as well.
