Database Editor Help!

Hey guys I need some help, maybe I'm being a noob and I don't know but here's the problem. I open the database editor to change some attributes in certain cyclists but when I go back to the game my changes aren't there. First I went to open a cdb file, I selected my database and I made my changes. Then I select the option to create a new database and overwrite the previous one that I had and made the changes and everything appears to be good. I open the game and the changes I've made don't appear.
I went to youtube and find a tutorial video about editing databases. The video was about a guy that went to the database of his saved career mode and changes all of Cavendish attributes to 85. He overwrites the file, goes to the game, loads his save and the changes he made are there. Well, I tried the same but when I'm going to overwrite the file this error appears. Does anybody know how can I fix this? What am I doing wrong? Please help and thank you for your time

Why do you overwrite your save? The easiest solution is to create a new file and then load the newly created file in the game.

That was the first thing I did. When I start the game the attributes don't change. I tested on Rui Costa, put every single attribute at 84, when I start the game he still has his default attributes
