10th stage in Spain and we're heading for a flat rated today. Quite a tricky final sector with a short climb close to the finish.

Points-leader Swift should be capable of surviving such a profile, while other top-sprinters like Mohs or Lo Cicero may fear a fast finish today.

And it's definitely quite a fast first half of the day, with the peloton not allowing a 6-men-break with Borges, Edet, Dees, Koretzky, Martin and Hoelgaard to stay clear!

We're already 70km into the race, when a duo is finally allowed to establish a 2-minutes-gap:

They ain't allowed a bigger gap though and the peloton (mostly led by Bacardi so far) always looked in control:

when Mohs outsprints Swift for today's second and last intermediate sprint's 3rd place, the leading duo ain't too far ahead..

..and even though Hoelgaard gave the bunch a good fight eventually, he's swallowed by the pack inside the final 5km!

The Brit though can't keep his speed and really suffers on the final 500metres! Swift won't be a factor for line honours..

Cunego storms to the front now, with Pluchkin, Dekker and Bakelants on the further positions..

Swift 11th and defending his points-lead (101), with Cunego (90) and Phinney (87) coming closer though.. With no major splits today, we only see some minor changes in the GC: Tenorio keeping the lead, Cunego gaining some time on GC's 3rd Gesink.
