So i've been playing Armada quite alot this last week, and besides the bugs there's one thing thats really taking out the fun of it for me, and thats the monster teams.
For instance, whenever i'm racing a Mountain stage, there's allways atleast 1 team filled only with 80+ MO stat riders, and that's just plain ridiculous(effective though). The same thing goes for other types of stages, but the mountainous ones seem to be where it happens the most.
Now i've got the riders to do the same several times as you can see https://i.imgur.co...zN5XX.jpg, but where's the fun in that? Not only does it make the stages very one sided, it also means that any new player won't stand a chance unless they pour tons of cash into the game, or grind for several days which is hurting the playerbase i believe. I know a friend of mine bought the game for Armada mode, but hasn't touched it since he realised how much money he'd have to spend to be able to compete with the other moutain teams.
So my suggestion is this, should there be some extra kind of limit to the team you're able to bring?
Personally i think there should, but i'm not quite sure what kind though. One idea i had was decreasing the amount of Gold Riders one can bring, but that wouldn't work i think due to the amount of 77 stat rider's that are usually there as help for the great riders. But if they pushed the Gold lvl to 78-79, it could work i suppose. Or maybe adding another ranking level, for those inbetween the 77's and the 80's.
I'm interested in hearing what you guys think about whether it's needs more limit's or if it's fine in it's current state. And i'm also open to any other suggestion's about what kinda limit's might work.
Thank god that someone has the same opinion as me. Well, to start with, I'm 10th in the overall ranking. My ingame name is jONNY and I'm lvl 45. Well, I bought the game just to play armada, because its a game mode that I really like and it has a bot of potential. I agree with you 200% on your opinion. The teams are too OP. Like, for example, when I play, sometimes I come up against teams with pantani, contador, froome, quintana and nibali in the same team, which is ridiculous. I have sick riders, praticaly every good riders in the game (only missing tony martin and kwiatkowski, except the legends (I only have pantani, tom steels, tafi and van pitigem)), and I usually play with a fair squad, for example, pantani with equipment, then nibali/froome and then the next rider that I use is a 80 mountain, to save the other good riders for the other "leaders" like contador and quintana. I can be playing armada for the whole day, that's why I save the riders to the future stages. If I didn't do that, I would probabily play 2/3 mountain stages with the best riders I have and then probabily quit the game for that day, because my mountain leader was going to be a weak one. Same thing goes for hilly stages, cobblestone stages and timetrial. Its not that OP of a team (of course its strong, but not OP), nothing compared of what I usually see. Armada needs to fix this, otherwhise, the people that dont have the luxury of linking the accounts to have the coins to open packs will get tired of this game mode... That's my opinion
Glad to hear that you agree. We seem to be in the same boat, having great riders but not considering it to be fun using them in a "OP" manner. Like you mention, i'm sick and tired of the Pantani, Contador, Froome and Nibali teams, and i hope Cyanide might consider adding limits at some point.
Would you happen to have any suggestions on what limit's might work? I still feel my suggestion in the first post could work, but at the same time i think there could be a better solution out there.
I have been thinking about a solution, but nothing comes. The idea of changing the amount of gold riders is good. Like, if you use a legend, you are only able to use 1 gold rider and if you dont use any legend, you are able to use 2 golds. Its really hard to make this kind of changes...
maybe they should change the point system: if your best rider is a legend your points get multiplied by 0.5, if your best rider is a golden one x1, a silver x1.5 and a brons x2.
And stop with the negative points
You could ad another class of riders which you are only allowed to use 1 in a team. i think either a platinum class or shiny gold class, where riders like Contador, Froome and Quintana should be in
Guys don't cry about losing from teams which has full 80+ mountain. it's not about winning all the time, if you can't win from a guy with that squad then it's realistic. they have most of the time like 20 Nibali's and 20 Quintana's so they don't worry about doing that all day. the only cards they are missing are legends. because they play already from example pcm 2012 meaning they get like 200k at the start of the game. second there are no bugs at all in multiplayer, they are all fixed, and as last you can easily win from a guy with 80+ mountain squad if you have the tactics! i've won from quintana 87 mountain with a Peraud 81 mountain without leadout, was 2nd in the race because someone had a pantoni who was together with me. but still just stop crying
