Injured rider won't get out of the race

In the Be a Pro mode, it happens that my rider has a crash mid-race, then goes on with no apparent signs of injury (this happened twice and I got 5th an 7th in stages that didn't completely suit me).

In the results, though, my rider has abandoned, and when I check I see that he's injured, once with a broken arm and another time with a broken wrist.

It pisses me to reach the finish line having crashed 100km before, just to find that I was injured and I was racing for nothing. I think it should be better that, in this case, the game would just jump to the results after your injury.

In real life cycling most riders will continue the race even with a broken limb.
Tony Martin finished the race with an open fracture. (which means that the bone is sticking out of the flesh)
