I guess Il get someone against me on this.
But I think that all the huge signatures, with pictures and links should be deleted.
All the forum threads are spammed by those.
Anyone agreed?
At least make them smaller.

I think it can be a problem on some forums but pcmdaily members usually have entertaining signatures.
I think it colours the forum quite well.

I think it would be too plain if only text is allowed in signatures, its much more interesting to have images, and its theyre all reasonably sized.

I think it's good to have this discussion, though, and personally, I have never been a fan of signatures with images - hence why I never have any images in my signatures That being said, I acknowledge that people in general are pro images in signatures, so the compromise would be to make guidelines and rules for the signatures, so that they don't get too big (such as Smoothie's ) |

My thoughts exactly. But if the vote goes otherwise, I'll be happy to take the signature down.

I'd rather listen to RHCP or Sonata Arctica, but, well, maybe you're right
I mean: totally agree with what Mike said. Even though I'm a sign's-lover (since I came from the most colourful board around ).

I think it makes things less bland, but I can see how it can get in the way of the real "meat" of the board (the text, of course)

Actually, my opinion is to just have some rules for size of the signature and its pictures.
I mean, I'm at this forum quite often, but I'm not that discussion guy, so I only posts if it's necessary. And, it is a small problem to avoid this huge signatures which takes 50-60% of the pages. I work with graphics myself, so I'm not against showing your work, if that's the problem.
You know what I mean? |

I think they should be made smaller indeed... They should be MAX as high as the avatar imo, and then ofcourse as long as it can be without exceeding the forum width...
I think that Smoothie's, issoisso's and t-baum's as example are all WAY to big... When you open a thread like that you have that taking up 60% of the screen, that's just too much. 20% of the screen is more than plenty, and it will still catch the eyes... F.x the lowest part of Smoothie's with Team and Media is perfect imo. |

I think the decision should rest with the administrators and hall of fame(rs)!
They spend the most time on the site,it should be up to them imo

I don't think that should have any bearing on how much weight anyone has on the decision. Except this post of mine, which should have a lot of weight just because I want it to
