Changing Local.cdb changes size of file?

Hello.

I have edited the local.cdb to edit the names of young riders. Everytime I save and export as .cdb, the file changes size even though I have not altered the number of names.

Does anyone know why?

Do you talk about my editor?

When you change something, even if you only add 1 letter, then file size will change.

But what do you mean with every time? Does it change when you re-extract the newly created database and then export as cdb again without changing something?

The full editor. Old piece of software, but still does the job I need it for.
I meant everytime I change something, but I did not know that even one letter changed something.
Can it create problems if the local.cdb changes size too much?

I guess the technical explanation is that the database is compressed when you save it. So when you change a character and save the database, the compressed file will be more different than just the single character due to the compression algorithm.

In other words: A cdb-file is not plaintext.
