I took a hiatus from the game since PCM 12 and just returned for PCM 15. One of the things I'm really struggling to get into is the tactics for simmed races. I do understand what 'go for the stage' or 'go for overall classification' means. But how do the different attacking modes in the sim tactics work (especially the sign with 3 dots with the arrow)? How can I assign a lead-out man for my sprinter? Is that still possible (was possible in PCM 12, I didn't see it yet)???
Could someone be so kind and give a short sim tactics 101?
I think if they're a favourite or GC contender, put them on "Follow attacks" and ride for the overall.
A free element or second favourite you can put on "Attack", which is a more risky and is maybe the equivalent of the guys who attack a little bit earlier on a stage in 3D race mode. Or one for the free elements. If it doesn't work, they guy will often lose time to the favourites
Not sure about the lead out man. I just pick a group of domestiques and assign them to the sprinter, I guess the game will automatically use a decent sprint guy as lead out. Either that or it wont model it at all! |
