Does anyone have any tips on how to win the giro 2015 big time trial (60 km)? Because i am not very good in long time trials and when i use 75 rated time trial riders i can't beat 72 or higher rated time trialists |

Is it on be a pro or career mode? In career mode you can use youre helper riders to just test out differant % to drive with. If its be a pro then you can't do that ofc, but find a % where youre blue and green bar is equel, like not the green bar drops way faster then the blue bar
Edit: And I have to say that I dont quite remember the Giro stage...but that is more a in general time trial tips

I'd advice speeding up a bit on the (small) climbs and saving some energy in the downhill in between.

It is on career mode and I've allways had this problema on previous games. I've tried to go 57% all the way and to go 55% on the flat and 60 on the climbs but no matter what I do for exemple Kelderman, who has the exact same time trial stat tha my rider, allways finish less than a minute worser than the best time while I finish like 4 minutes, and shape isn't problema either because i'm on top form. I have this problema on team time trials too |

Plan flat TT's are all about finding a %, which makes the green and blue bar stay on line.
TT's with climbs and technical obstacles, will need tinkering to what terrain your current at. As said descents can be used to save energy or put at 85 % to gain ground on the descents.

The general idea on the time trials is to keep an even pace throughout the race (ie keeping the same effort throughout the race) and keeping the green energy bar even with the blue distance bar.
When doing hilly timetrials, you'll notice the distance bar move faster compared to the energy bar when going downhill, so you can allow the energy bar to drop a little faster on flat and uphill, as it'll catch up downhill.
As others suggested, in career mode, it's generally a good idea to use your helpers to figure out a reasonable value. |

Man I just replayed the race 5 more times and i just keep getting passed by Pozzovivo who is 70 rated time trial while I am 75... I dont understand because this only happens in time trials. In mountain stages I even usually finish in the top 5 with a 78 rated rider but I just can't do time trials... |

In my experiences with longer TT's it's better to have energy left over at the finish than be on empty for the last klick or so. So even if you scale back on some of the flats and push it harder on the hills and decents and take it easy on the flats and usually I end up with a solid time, it's not a win every time but it's enough to keep me in good shape on GC. Like cosmic said, experiment with your lower ranked riders and try to find a happy medium.
Hope this helps! |

Yeh if you run out of green before the finish you're screwed. You'll lose a minute in no time, so it's way better to finish with green left than to run out, even if you're close to the finish when it happens. |
