So another topic I haven't found that I think is a crucial one is what's going on in your national federations - new developments, controversies, athlete stories, etc. The topic was brought back to the front of my mind today when I attended the Jamaica Cycling Federation's AGM, and a couple of big establishments were made. So basically what I hope for this thread to be is like a news feed for the different federations you fall under. I'll start off and we'll see how this rolls.

The JCF AGM was scheduled for 2:00 PM, however by 2:30 only 8 or so members (soon to increase to 10) were in attendance, and Treasurer Riccardo Lynch was the only member of the executive present. Originally an election was to be carried for the renewal of the 1st and 2nd Vice Presidencies and the position of General Secretary. However, a motion of no confidence was passed and all members of the executive have essentially been removed from office. An interim officer was appointed to ensure the preparation of an exceptional meeting to be held within 30 days for the re-election of the executive, as well as to discuss reforms to the constitution. In other news, the planning towards a UCI standard track cycling facility is coming to fruition. The process is expected to start by the end of July. The proposed facility is semi-outdoor with an expected standard lifespan of 35 years.
