Boasson Hagen and Trofimov only are seperated by 7s. This will make todays stage in Nice quite exciting as bonus seconds alone could decide the GC.

Nothing really happened until the last climb, where four riders out of the breakaway gap the others.
It`s Barbin, Cort Nielsen, Dees and Rodriguez Galindo with a 30s gap to the next.
The peloton is 3min behind and won`t win today. 75 riders are left in the peloton which is quite shocking seeing that there could be GC attacks or even a leader change.

Roche, Taaramae and Ricco accelerate again. It`s about reaching a better GC for those. Trofimov and Hagen at the moment neutralize themselves it seems.

That said here come big news. With 6km left Hagen had a weak moment and is 21s behind the Trofimov group. Behind him Froome, who as only attacker wasn`t able to join the favourite group.

Back to the front for the stage win.
Cort Nielsen attacks the group and starts the sprint early. Barbin leads out the others.

Then though the Quickstep rider shows he is the strongest and gaps them and also passes Cort Nielsen now...

...to take the win. Nicely done by Barbin.
Cort Nielsen takes 2nd ahead of Galindo Rodriguez. Dees as 4th today.

2,3km left for the favourites and Taaramae has attacked.

Good news for Aker as Hagen fought and is back with Trofimov. Just like Froome. Now it`s just to keep contact with them.

Taaramae`s attack didn`t work out. Ulissi wins the sprint for 11th and all those atackers are in the group. So Hagen wins the GC ahead of Trofimov. It was a close fight and became interesting late on todays stage. But other than that he clearly was the strongest here.

Well. Not all attackers actually. Roche with yet another disappointing moment here in Paris - Nice as he lost contact in the end and comes in 30s later and just ahead of Froome and Van Stayen.
The peloton with Schumacher and Schleck losing more than a minute to teh Hagen group.

GC wise we see a big jump by Barbin, who even jumps inside the top10 as 8th.

And a last note as Aberasturi has abandoned the race just a few kilometers before the line.
