Another flat stage today, for the fast men to contest. With so many of them excluded from the fight yesterday we may witness a tougher finish.

The day starts with lots of attacks, perhaps because of the 2nd cat. climb at the beggining of the stage. After a lot of skirmishes 4 riders manage to build a gap: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/mus.png Craddock, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/scl.png Boulahdouz, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bec.png Ghyselink and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/tcs.png Sulimov (who gets dropped after the first climb)

Surprisingly the KoM leader gets beaten by pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bec.png Ghyselink and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/mus.png Craddock in that order.

Bad news for pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bac.png Bacardi as Hirschlein and Navarro crash

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/scl.png Boulahdouz is outsprinted by the others at the next climb and will puncture mid way through the stage.

He manages to recover, and catch his fellow escapees. Ironically he then wins the sprint, but is 3rd again at the last KoM. What a funny rider.

Meanwhile the pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bac.png Bacardi boys rejoin the pack who trails by under 3min with 43km to go now. The bunch is being conducted by pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ayu.png Ayubowan, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/pok.png Pokerstars and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/btc.png Bouygues.

The catch, though, doesn't happen before the last 6km. Preparations for the final sprint may become distorted, especially since it has started raining!
