Since we've got this for normal careers already, I thought a thread for Be a Pro might be fun as well. I'll probably make an Irish climber to try and win the TdF in my first save, hopefully An Post will offer a contract.
How about you guys, any specific plans yet?

As some of you might know, I have a few obsessions with PCM. One of them is that I always want to break records
But with Be a Pro I want to see another obsession turn real (well, real in my game ), namely the next French Tour winner!
Look forward to start in U23 with Tour l'Avenir then move up to AG2R or FDJ or something and do real well |

Karl Hammarling, obviously Cobbles classics and general stage hunter and breakaway specialist.
OR
Tom Lasnik, try to recreat and then better the career of Tom Simpson. So a mix of Hilly Classics, Climbing and possibly some cobbles as well if the game can work with that.
OR
Finish off a Womens DB and go nuts with that

My idea is recreate myself, Fernando Juárez and be the best climber all-time!

Going to be a Danish sprinter. Hoping to dethrone the bigger sprinters and dominate the world! |

I wonder if Baris Dao might quit Cyclo Cross to take a new chance on the road.
Spoiler Unlikely to be honest as I guess being a sprinter in Be a Pro is boring
@Jihardy: So we have possibly the same plan then.

Does your height and weight choice matter at all ?
For instance if you choose 100kg but specailise in climbing ? In theory you should be a terrible climber but does it actually influence the stats. Also what does height do then ? |

Though I do wonder when you can properly set up a Be-a-Pro mode.
Would like variants and real sponsors, so will have to wait a few weeks/months for a database I guess |

Is there a way to see your fitness graph more than a month in advance ?
Only one month isn't that useful |

Wahey won my first race in the 3rd cya cup ! Seems like the best strategy is to breakaway from the start.
Edit: So my game crashed when i clicked on something in the menus. Now the tutorial has reset, is there a way to turn that off ?

You get 10 xp for finishing a Continental level race, and 15 xp for coming in the top 10. Those are the only ones I've had so far. |

One month should be enough to get from medium to peak fitness, though.
I don't think you can plan ahead too much in real life either, as a cyclist, plus races increase your fatigue as well.
Feyenoord(football) and Kelderman fanboy
PCMdaily Awards: 12x nomination, 9x runner-up, 0x win.

You also get points for 25km, 50 and 100km in a breakaway in cont lvl |

New question ! How do you get team mates to protect you ? Or do you have to wait till you are really high level. |

First impressions..
I started as a 19 year old Hungarian hilly specialist. I focus my training on cobbles, because I wanted to be complete in classics.
First 3 races (cyanide trophy... lol CyM1 memories), 19th, 9th and 17th. Pretty good.
Training system is easy to comprehend once you get used to it.
Progression... is a bit fast to be honoust. I'm 3 months in and my hill stat has gone from 69 to 74... at this rate I'll dominate classics by october. |
