Change of WC Stage

Hi there, hopefully somebody can point out what I'm missing;

I am trying to change the WC and WC:ITT stages as they seem to repeat themselves each year now.

So far I have tried to change the first and last stage ID and successfully changed the stages in-game, but it also changed the WC to those particular stage dates, ie Giro stages, WC on same day as Giro stage.

Do I have to create a new race to be able to use a particular stage or is there something I'm overlooking.
