Willunga Hill. The GC is expected to be made here. So far we still have pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/gnu.png Del Nero and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/fxg.png Daspuntsag
in high GC positions but the stronger puncheurs are expected to gain time on those today.
No surprise on the favourite list. The top puncheurs should go for it today.

So a very strong group here. That said all of them are + 5'13 in the GC and no big danger.

We make a jump further up the stage ahead of the first Willunga Hill climb. Grupo Nutresa is doing the pace here. Chaves is one of the working riders. With Del Nero in the race leader and Klemme as one of the best cobblers, they are in a great position. With 40km to go the gap is just below 3min.

26km and below 2min for the break. Weening is leading them on the first meters with slopes of more than 6%.
Behind still Nutresa working hard. With Kolobnev, Chaves and Beltran though they have some awesome depth and quite a lot of uphill power.

1'30 are left on the top, where Feillu takes the KoM ahead of Dyachenko and Weening.

In the peloton the first riders fall off at the back. No big names yet though.

On the descent when the gap is below 1min, we see a first attack. Evonik will be pleased to see them more aggressive in the 2nd half of the race. It`s their new top talent pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/evo.png Mohoric. Though he is soon to be caught again and we immediately see the next 2nd tier puncheur on the move: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/rge.png Haas.

Almost nothing left for the 5 riders in front. Haas still a bit in between. Most big names are seen at the front including race leader Del Nero.

Interesting tactic by Buff - Polska. With 3km to go and the breakaway still a bit ahead they decide to attack. With 2 riders at the same time!

A couple of riders immediately follow and there are lots of groups now with 1,6km left for Busche, who also goes solo in front.
Haas still a bit ahead of Betancourt, who is just ahead of his team mate Ventoso and Reimer.

With a bit more than 1km to go a long line of breakaway riders and GC favourites.
Behind the mentioned riders we see the newest attackers:
Di Maggio
Meyer
McEvoy
Del Nero!

And just a bit behind those at the front of the peloton Klemme, Impey, Mehr-Wenige, Prevar, Pozzato, Furdi.

Flamme Rouge and the situation in front has changed a bit. Feillu passed Busche, who went too early. Then a mix of breakaway riders and the first GC riders, that reached them.

Weening is caught first. And it`s Di Maggio now coming fast. He clearly is the best on that uphill section but might have gone a bit too late to get a stage win.
Betancourt and Haas are next to him, while Meyer and the rest is a bit behind.

In front though it`s yet again Fablok! 2nd stage win in a row and a very prestigious here on Willunga Hill. Brice Feillu wins it after a strong attack. Busche a bit behind is going to finish 2nd.

Di Maggio takes 3rd and important bonus seconds. That said, he is not able to gain as much time as hoped as right behind are a couple of more riders.
Within those in the same group are Betancourt, Meyer, Haas, McEvoy, Reimer and Ventoso.

Mehr-Wenige leads the next group of riders with 43s to the Di Maggio group. In there the riders from Nutresa including race leader Del Nero and Klemme, who might have had to wait today. Also Gazelle, Chernobyl, Kenya with their main riders to secure a good GC just like Daspuntsag with a good fight.

The GC actually became a lot closer after today. Di Maggio with the bonus seconds goes into the lead. Just 5s ahead of Reimer though, who might still have a chance on tomorrows flat finisher.
Ventoso with a strong race as well in 3rd with 12s. So also for him a chance in tomorrows sprint.

Then the surprising Del Nero and Daspuntsag, who remain in a good position ahead of Meyer, Impey, Pozzato, McEvoy and Mehr-Wenige, while Klemme is just outside the top10. Todays breakaway riders also jump into the late top20.
