Game Crash when loading into race

So I have finally understood how to play this game, it's taken me 2 years of on and off playing!

My problem is that everytime I try loading into a race, the game crashes and I get a debug report to send to cyanide. I am a complete newbie at all this so don't really have a clue where to start!

Note it only does this in career mode

first of all, are you using any database from the download section?

If you are actually using one like the pcmdailyexpansion be careful with the directory where you install it ( in my case I´m spanish, so i had one folder with the spanish name of the game and the english one which was the pcm expansion database) i could play but when i tried to simulate the first race of the year it just kept crashing, i figured out what the problem was, mixed the folders and still happened, so i just re installed it all selecting the correct folder in the installation of the database and everything is working fine.
