You can find the "pre-made" startslists in C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006\Custom\StartLists
By opening one of the files with Notepad you will easily be able to understand the structure.
For example:
<startlist>
<team id = "27"> (this is the id of the team. You can find this by opening a database with a database editor such as the official one by Cyanide)
<cyclist id = "866"/> (this is the id of the rider you want to include in the race. As with the team id, this can be found in an editor)
<cyclist id = "1856"/>
<cyclist id = "1623"/>
<cyclist id = "34"/>
<cyclist id = "588"/>
<cyclist id = "701"/>
<cyclist id = "1366"/>
<cyclist id = "36"/>
</team>
.etc, etc.
</startlist> |

hint: there's a search function. it'll get you answers far faster than waiting for someone else to reply

Thanks for replies.
@ CrueTrue. See, I have done this, but the game never gives me the option of using the list i made. So I was wondering if I was doing it all wrong. I guess the list should be called the exact name of the race?
@ issoisso. Sry, didn't realize |

Roo: I think that is how it works. I have never made a list myself, though, so I'm not sure. |

Just trying out some ideas here, so if anybody can point out something and say that's it, please do so
directory of the xml is something else than C:\program files...\Custom\Start Lists
Is it necessary to type riders names in the xml file?
The race name/id should be in the xml file
I think answers could also be appreciated by others than myself. |

Roadie: This only works for Stage Race ( Classic-mode - unfortunately.
Roo: You don't need to type in the riders' names.
I don't think that the race name / id needs to be entered. |

What a pisser!!! would've been a great addition to setting up a season in Career mode and have all the relevant teams attending the established races. Im annoyed as currently I only get Barloworld and Ceramica Panaria qualifiying for races. There are some really good, strong teams like Tinkoff, Acqua & Sapone, Amore & Vita, Relax -GAM, Weisenhof, Jartazi that dont get into the major Tours and Stage Races. Need to find a way to implement something like Startlists through the entire game. |

Seems i've tried about anything, still my game doesn't give me the option to use a start list |

use the PPDB Giant 06
you get the right teams at the right races incareer mode for 2006. as long as you don't apply yourself for them. that can screw it up sometimes.
you won't get the real riders though, just the teams.

if you select to run a classic or a stage race in "Real" mode, it'll say "there's a startlist defined, etc. etc., do you want to use it? click yes or no"
