Paris Roubaix 2015
Guido Mukk
My absolute favorite spring classic.
Is it sunday yet?.

Like I said in other thread, the thing I hope most is that a cobbler wins by desstroying the others on the cobbles. No more deciding attacks on the flat, please!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I hope Sep bounces back and goes for the win but my bet is on Kristoff again.

God I hope it rains this year, or at the very least is muddy. Had too many dusty Paris-Roubaixs recently

I think Wiggins will take it. I know he hasn't any cobble results so far this season, but i think he'll win because PR has been his major target for along time.

Got a feeling that Wiggo is going to have an epic fail, he didn't impress me one bit in Flanders.

fidjim2013
the case of wiggo is too much unpredictable because he hasn't showed any good results in cobbles this year but maybe he was concentrating his energy and testing his legs only for the big one. He could either get an epic fail or win Paris Roubaix

I would enjoy if they actually made the riders ride the cobbles. this going on the path next to them shit in every race I watch the last few years is maddening.

I hope that you are very far off with your guess. But I think that G will lead Sky there. Also I am completely unsure who will win. Kristoff, Degenkolb, Terpstra, Stybar, Vandenbergh, Van Avermaet, Thomas, Sagan and Vanmarcke. Even without Cance and Boonen a very high quality field.

Wiggins winning?

Now to more serious things, i hope Štyby will not once again play the anchor role for Terpstra and will go onthe move himself. Smile

Well, he is 3th-6rd favourite all bettingsides, so its not ridicolous at all. Wouldnt surprise me a bit

That is just typical british hype spreading to continent, i would be surprised with top10, but anything can happen and Wiggo will fool us, who knows. Smile

Agreed, I don't see Wiggins doing well at all, and a top 10 would be a huge success for him. Geraint Thomas should have complete and unquestioned leadership over that team because he is comfortably their best classics rider.

But that won't stop Carlton Kirby only talking about Wiggins for the first 60km of the broadcast.

This should be a much better race IMO because with Boonen and Cancellara out I feel like several of the top favourites are much more suited to this race as cobblestone riders rather than complete classics riders.

Same here. I dont see Wiggins success.
He should be great already at Flanders if he want to win Roubaix.
At the Roubaix he will be throwing he's new Pinarello on the ditch again.

Typical british hype is all about Thomas this time around, not Wiggo Wink

If Wiggins is going to do well at a classic it would be Roubaix. The Flanders climbs don't suit him, he did come Top 10 last year after nothing notable previously, and must have some form after De Panne. Whether he actually will though is another matter. G should be the leader, and Stannard would also be more of a danger if he finds his Het Nieuwsblad form. I don't really think Wiggins has the tactical nous to win a road race, even if he were strong enough.

Of course if Sky decide they are favourites and ride on the front like idiots for the first half of the race again, then they have no chance.

Well that is the only mindset they have?
