Welcome to the HQ of DeLaval - Kiitokori.
The team was founded in 2014 as Team Live Nation. A Finnish based team looking to entertain.
The entertainment part quickly went out the window and after a turbulent season we were able to attract both a Finnish and a more international sponsor.
DeLaval produces equipment for milking and is among the world-leaders in the field. Based in Sweden they are local while also havin an interest in us keeping our international feel.
Kiitokori manufactures special vehicles such as library busses, airport vehicles and deicing vehicles. Based in Finland but with rouglhy half their production going to export they are a perfect fit for us, though the budget is in the small end.
Finnish dairy company Valio, specialized in lactose-free products, have come along as a minor sponsor while the Danish clothes company Astral Biking will produce our team clothes.

Quite possibly my favorite jersey in the 2015 peloton so far! Best of luck for 2015!

Win Hanko Classic
Obviously winning our home race has to be a goal.
We might not have had much success in bunch sprint due to our fastest sprinter being unable to handle even the smallest speedbumps.
However he did win Himmerland Rundt last year on a route very similiar to that of Hanko Classic so we are optimistic.
Top 5 Tour of Iceland
While being a brand new race it's also one of the most interesting due to it's location as well as the appearance of an Icelandic team on the scene.
We feel a certain connection to our fellow cold Nordic country, so it's an obvious target for us and with a bit of luck we already have riders capable of doing something there.
Top 5 Tour of Taiwan or Herald Sun Tour
How the final edition of this goal will look will for a large part depend on how our transfer season goes. Specifically whether or not we will be ablo to sign the only rider on our shortlist…
Either way it's ambitious but doable with the right riders. Herald Sun was even one of very few highlights for us last season.
Top 5 Windhoek ITT
Last year we got some good resutls on TT's and this year we have a top-TT'er more than last year so we won't rely as much on the very varying form of Renäng.
Obviously with so many competitors currently without a roster it's hard to say anything about the level of competition though.
We screwed up big time last year. Not only did we mess up the transfer season, but most of our leaders also underperformed. Sometimes due to bad luck and sometimes due to just not bothering.
This year things should turn dramatically. Many of our riders have grown stronger and we can focus on going all-in for one big leader in the transfer season.

As we are finally allowed to reveal details about our contract renewals here goes.
All contracts we agreed in the first round and only Westling have managed to get himself a pay rise after his win in Himmerland last year.
All these riders will be riding in cowspots next year unless something very surprising happens.
| | | OVL | Age | Wage | XP | | | Chris Anker | Sørensen | 73,40 | 31 | 75k | 4 | 100 | | Ignacio | Sarabia | 72,61 | 31 | 65k | 4 | 100 | | Samuel | Pökälä | 72,55 | 25 | 50k | 4 | 100 | | Linus | Dahlberg | 71,57 | 28 | 50k | 4 | 100 | | Mattias | Westling | 71,32 | 29 | 60k | 4 | 100 | | Viktor | Renäng | 69,86 | 29 | 60k | 4 | 100 | | Sami | Tiainen | 69,44 | 26 | 50k | 4 | 100 | | Sakari | Lehtinen | 68,72 | 22 | 50k | 3 | 8 | | Philip | Lindau | 68,33 | 24 | 50k | 3 | 35 | | Matti | Manninen | 62,64 | 23 | 50k | 1 | 30 |
Happy to keep or loan out
Three riders can end up either riding for our team or on loan to a PT/PCT team to develop properly. That all depends on the specific agreements as well as how the transfer season goes otherwise.
| | | OVL | Age | Wage | XP | | | Paavo | Paajanen | 71,87 | 26 | 50k | 4 | 5 | | Gökhan | Hasta | 71,55 | 25 | 50k | 4 | 1 | | Olli | Kulppi | 69,71 | 24 | 50k | 3 | 10 |
Where these two riders ride next year will depend on a lot of things such as specific offers and the level of success we have in the transfer season.
| | | OVL | Age | Wage | XP | | | Sergiu | Cioban | 72,23 | 25 | 55k | 4 | 100 | | Bernardo | Colex | 71,77 | 32 | 55k | 4 | 100 |
Listening interested to offers
These riders seem likely to be sold under the right circumstances.
| | | OVL | Age | Wage | XP | | | Jaroslaw | Dabrowski | 71,43 | 32 | 50k | 4 | 100 | | Mateusz | Taciak | 71,12 | 31 | 50k | 4 | 100 | | Krisztian | Lovassy | 70,93 | 27 | 65k | 4 | 4 |
Released without negotiations
Veikkanen will most likely retire and could very well find himself in another role at our team.
Blanco is a competent rider, but have been cut due to our wish to lower the number of riders a bit.
The same goes for Khalifa and Reis, who are both very talented and might end up riding as stagiaires if no one else gives them a second chance and all other circumstances allow.
| | | OVL | Age | Wage | XP | | | Jussi | Veikkanen | 66,57 | 34 | - | 4 | 100 | | Serafin José | Blanco | 67,86 | 23 | - | 4 | 9 | | Essa | Khalifa | 66,12 | 22 | - | 2 | 95 | | Rasim | Reis | 59,44 | 23 | - | 2 | 97 |
Further details about possible transfer/loan objects will come at a later point

Thanks. With two new Polish teams I would be dumb not to consider parting with my Polish duo even though I have been happy to have them and they are far from being kicked out of the team as such.

Things have started happening in our transfer season, even though it luckily won't be as busy as last year.
First we are happy to help Krisztian Lovassy get to ride for his newly formed home team OTP Bank – Slovnaft-
The Hungarian champion should be part of this project to help Hungarian cycling to become more than Lovassy and to be frank that was our main reason for renewing him.
That also reflects on the price we asked for him.
Secondly we have agreed to sell Dabrowski to another newly formed team namely the Polish based Netia - Norske Skog.
Dabrowski have been a valued helper crowned by a couple of good stages in Burgos, and could easily have found a place here next season had it not been for the Polish teams interest and our small restructure.
Last but absolutely not least we have been able to finally secure the signature of Jukka Vastaranta making us the true spearhead of Finnish cycling.
Jukka have signed for a very small salary compared to the massive figure he earned at Magna - Ryan Air last season, but will be even more treasured here than he was there.
It have never been a secret that signing Vastaranta was the gist of both our plan A, B and C so getting him in this manner have put everyone on the team in complete ecstacy.
The modest wages demanded by Vastaranta also means that we have the funds to go out in search of another team leader. Preferably a stage racer, but cobbler/sprinters could be considered as well under the right circumstances.
We are in talks regarding which jersey Paajanen will wear next year, though he will remain on contract with us.
Gökhan Hasta and Olli Kullpi have both expressed wished to gain some experience on a higher level than what we can deliver so anyone who could use a climber or cobbler to help out next year feel free to say so.
Hasta will probably need a PT team while Olli is open for anything.

Congrats on gaining your wishful signing, almost for free!
I love when the region focused team gets the leader from that area, Jukka found his home, so good luck with him.

Another day have passed in our HQ. And a surprisinlgy busy one of that…
First we came to an agreement with Vesuvio - Accumulax to have Paajanen ride for them next year to help him develop best possibly.
There he will get to ride some of the main classics as well as a GT, which will be valuable xperience for us when he comes back.
Then later that evening we came to an agreement bringing Winner Anacona to the team to improve our climbing department.
Even though CAS was our best rider last year we felt we needed something better than the best guy on the worst team in the world. Winner should bring just that - or at least give Chris the freedom to surprise attacks…
At that point we thought that we was pretty much done - how wrong we were.
First we got approached suggesting that if we took Samoilev for free we could get Gökhan Hasta on loan without paying his wages.
Sadly we didn't have the money to both do that and maintain our plans for final touches.
Then moments later we heard that our CT-colleauges in Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling Team was in trouble finding some riders at a vary low cost so we agreed that they could loan Matti Manninen in return of him riding at least 65 days.
As we split Manninens wages we suddenly had the opportunity to make teh deal with Red Bull as well so they will make home for Hasta the coming year while we have gotten some furthder depth for both mountains, hills and TT's at minimum cost.
We're always happy tp help fellow teams - especially when we stand to gain as much as we do through these deals.
By now we would be very surprised to see any more big deals being made, but the last day have shown us that nothing is ever impossible.

So a few things have happened once again. First of all the deal surrounding Matti Manninen was found to be illegal. Next time we'll read the rule book more carefully before trying to come to the resque of a team on trouble. Weøre happy to have Matti back on the team though and we'll make sure he reaches a new leavel after this his first full season after riding as a stagiare for us last year and shoeing some good skills in the role of the helper in Lost Gems Race Series.
Secondly we discussed a lot about how Olli Kulppi should use his next year. Either he could stay with us and lead our cobbles team after having been main helper for Lovassy last year. Something that could be valuabl experiance to him but seeing how Krisztian performed in the cobbled races last year we're not confident that Olli have learned quite enough yet.
So we are very happy that he will get to learn from one of the very best of the game namely Tom Boonen. That was a perfect opportunity for the future cobbles-hope of Finland.
Finally we have made an agreement with Swedbank, where Paajanen rode last year that they'll take in Philip Lindau and help him get some experience on a higher level. We are happy to continue the collaboration with our neighbours and Philip is looking forward to a year in his home country.
We are in talks with a few guys to finish the roster, but those names will only be known to cycling afficionados. In other words no more leaders will be added, but we'll always keep our eyes open for chances to develop talented youngsters.

Well DeLaval is a global company so we might buy a house in Colombia and use as a training base for our climbers as well as promoting this first class milking machinery in South America. Possibly in some sort of collaboration with fellow dairy team SanCor...

While Risto is 27 years old he has a lot of undeveloped potential and will already this year be a key part of our flat/sprint squad.
While he might not be the most talented guy in the peloton and any wins from him would be a huge bonus he will be a good helper for us when the flat road lies ahead. Even more so in the future, where he could develop into one of the very best in that part of the game and thus crucial in our hopes of establishing ourselves on PCT level.
