Team ScotRail-RBS
"This is the Start!"
Welcome all to the brand new Continental cycling Team, ScotRail-RBS! We are now one of the only Scottish teams in the sport, so we will carry on that reputation, building this team as a home for Scottish and British riders, as well as providing our supporters with fan favourites from around the globe. Our sponsors will obviously want our colours to be shown, so we want our presence to be felt in the peloton. We are a relatively new team so we won't be on too many radars, however, look out for the boys in blue and grey! You can always check the team out on Twitter too. Anyway, welcome onto to the ride, it is gonna be a long one!
The Grand Unveiling of our equipment will be announced soon, stay tuned on Twitter for little sneak peaks.

ScotRail is our main sponsor, and was a fitting choice for a Scottish based team. If you don't know, ScotRail is the operator for all Scottish railways, and our known all across the nation. Their logo of a Saltire has been featured heavily on our jersey. ScotRail have never sponsored any big sports team so this is a first for them too.
The Royal Bank of Scotland or RBS as it is more widely known as, is the one of the UK's largest bank's, and is Scotland's number 1. The group also own the English version, NatWest, making the Scottish firm a financial giant. RBS are no stranger to sponsoring sport teams, they already sponsor lots of events (e.g RBS Six Nations), as well as sponsoring the national rugby team of Scotland. The RBS Group will be our co-sponsors for the year, just as they did from 2009-2010 with the old Irn Bru team in the past.
The Velocast is a Scottish based cycling podcast not known to many. We at Team ScotRail-RBS thought the Velocast was a fantastic service so we got in touch and they were willing to sponsor our new team! It features Scots John Galloway & Scott O'Raw. The podcast is a subscription service but has a large following in the cycling community.
Western Ferries is a ferry company based on the west coast in the town of Dunoon, and provides a service over the infamous Clyde in what can be a very desolate area. The company contacted us and we were certain that we needed them on board.
BBC Alba is the BBC's service for the Gaelic speaking people of Scotland. Gaelic is a language spoken in both Scotland and Ireland, but is primarily a second language to English in rural areas. BBC Alba are needing publicity because of a lack of ratings, so the BBC were desperate to help us and the team.
Endura are a Scottish based sport clothing company who are a rising force in the industry. They will supply the ScotRail team with their clothing fr the next 12 months through rain and snow, and hopefully into victory.

Very nice HQ, welcome to the game and enjoy the madness of the transfer season. There are quite a lot of players on the english speaking market, so good luck in finding your place and being competitive.

Hey Ewan, cannot recall an actual Scottish team in the Mangame - Irish, Anglo-Welsh etc.
In fact struggling to think of many non track notable Scottish riders, unless Millar counts.

Yip, only 4 Scottish riders in the MG database that I am aware of, and not any new pros IRL on the horizon to bolster future numbers. Some solid U23's, but making the next step is always the hardest!

As a Scot myself, I wish you all the best in forming what appears to be a very Scottish team.

Also quite a few guys with Mc or Mac as part of their surnames. Tiago Machado for example

Nope.
Go look elsewhere, you're not stealing Irish riders from the only Irish team around.
But good luck with other riders, and we might be able to talk about some loans too.

I have a question - do you plan on deep frying your bicycles?

Of course, a Scottish team has to be fueled by the power of fried foods
