Welcome to South America for a mixed championship to decide the Cuban, Chilean and Uruguayan national champions. Three teams have riders from the trio of countries:
Mobil
Bonsucro
Alpina
Mojica
Aguilar
Bru
Granjel Cabrera
Soto Pereira
Bravo
Ferrari
Oyarzun
First of all we have the hilly road race. As the race begins we have 2 attackers - Bravo and Aguilar.
Unsurprisingly those two are not seen again by the other 6 riders. They establish a large gap and will both be respective national champions.
Onto the final climb, and Bravo sprints away to take the race and as a result he ensures he is Chilean champion.
Aguilar is no match for him, finishing well behind, but is still Uruguayan national champion.
There were late attacks behind but nothing to trouble the leaders. In a sprint for the Cuban title Bru beats Cabrera to the line and makes it two NC's here for Alpina.
Now it's time for the ITT. Once more three titles up for grabs here in South America.
In the race for the Chilean title, Oyarzun is never in doubt and finishes in a time of 1h09'53, beating his only rival Bravo by over 2 minutes.
It's another Bonsucro win in the battle between the Uruguayans. Soto Pereira beats his other two rivals to become national champion against the clock and bags the title.
Finally we have the race for the Cuban title. Mobil get their first win of these championships with Mojica taking the title with an impressive time of 1h07'38.
