13/11/2014 - Buenos Aires
In conference room 3 of Hotel Bauen, an informal meeting between several big players on the market has just concluded. The man who brought them all together closes the doors behind him and walks to the escalator slowly, clutching his bag. He finally has the necessary papers to make it official.
In a way, it has always been his dream. You could argue it is his life-work. Many meetings have proceded this particular meeting, too many to count. In his briefcase, you would find years of research, a detailed business plan, and endless plans for the future.
It is a man with a vision, some say. Others find him obsessive. It is true he has been all over this project, from its inception all the way to this moment. The moment he always knew would come... The birth of SanCor Cycling Team.
Main Sponsor
SanCor is thé leading Dairy producer in Argentina, with one fifth of the entire production in the country. SanCor sells different diary products, such as milk, cream, butter, yoghurt and cheese.
Minor Sponsors
Banco Ciudad de Buenos Aires is a publicly owned, municipal commercial bank. The bank sponsors the team financially, but will also provide financial advice.
AerolÃneas Argentinas is Argentina's largest airline. There is no doubt the collaboration will include mutual benifits.
Team Jersey
Eyes on the Horizon
14/11/2014 - Buenos Aires
He clears his throat. The dozen camera's, almost shoved in his face, are making him nervous. The microphone - as if looking at him unforgiving - breaths silence. This is his moment, though. He feels like he's 5 years old again, standing in front of that entire class. He counts the lines on the microphone in front of him, that always helps calming him.
He looks up, into the crowd. This is his moment.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen..."

Stage Win: [C2HC] Ruta America del Sur
A goal man-made for Richeze. Our top sprinter, B World Champion, will try to get a stage win on one of the flatter stages.
Win: C2 Tour de San Luis
We are banking on local top talent Moyano for this one. His motivation is tower high and we hope to achieve this goal with him!
Win: Clasico San Cristobal
Juarez is the man for this job. The puncher has to show his value on this terrain and get the win!
Top 10: CT Team Standings
This will be a collective effort. Let's try our best and we'll see where we end up!
KoM: Giro del Capo
Finally, a KoM goal. Not easy to predict. But the Spanish rider Barredo has been brought in for these types of goals.
SanCor Cycling Team knows no limits to its ambition. Yet we keep our feet on the ground, and try to realize our goals gradually, by keeping our partnership intact and working steadily towards the ultimate goal: producing a world class Argentinian rider to represent our great nation and a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck mate with your team and in the transfers. Lovely intro. Of course there's some nice storytelling involved when you come here to conquer the ManGame.

Nice to see another South American team join the season I try to leave the area, will give good company to the 1 CT team and about 4 PCT existing teams. Always a good number of South American riders around though so you shouldn't have too big a problem

Cheers guys Quite the welcome!
I'm looking forward to meeting you all in the first races. I'm very confident that the backside of the shirt will be beautiful, so your riders will have a nice view during the race. |

Only The Best For Our Athletes
18/11/2014 - Buenos Aires
The photographer asks him to take one step to the right. "Everyone say: 'cheese'!" We hear some chuckles among the investors. It's a day of celebration, and so the atmosphere is casual.
A reporter from the public network makes his way forth. "A question, sir?" These reporters always find a way through the security. But nothing can get to him on this, such a joyeus, day. "Not right now." The answer is firm, yet not unkind. No time for chit chat, the dice have been cast, and now he must see this all the way through. There is no room for mistakes, and this project will take all the focus he has. But it will be worth it.
He moves to the stand. The room grows quiet.
"Dear partners,
Welcome to the inception of the SanCor Cycling Team. Over the last few months, we've been working together intensively to get this project off the ground. Today, we start to see our partnership bearing fruits. SanCor Cycling Team has received its license for the American Continental Division.
But this also means it's time to get this project out of the conference rooms and into the streets. A cycling team is not real until it has real riders pouring their hearts into the team and getting results."
Long Term Project
SanCor Cycling Team has more than one purpose. We breath cycling, but at heart we are so much more. This is our long-term plan for the team:
SanCor Cycling Team knows no limits to its ambition. Yet we keep our feet on the ground, and try to realize our goals gradually, by keeping our partnership intact and working steadily towards the ultimate goal: producing a world class Argentinian rider to represent our great nation and a healthy lifestyle.
Short Term Goals
75% Argentine riders
Make SanCor cycling popular in Argentina
Promote to PCT
Medium-Long Term Goals
90% Argentine riders
Conquer the South American market with SanCor and partners
Attract attention in Europe with the Sancor Cycling Team
Become an economically profitable cycling team
Promote to PT
Long Term Goals
Produce an Argentine cycling star
Conquer the European and Asian market with SanCor and partners
Survive comfortably in the PT
Promote a healthy lifestyle
The key to success, both in the business world and in the world of cycling, is flexibility. Our goals must not stand in our way of the natural growth of the team. So take the goals as a guideline for our vision, not as a set of rules we have to abide by.
SanCor's greatest goal is to create a cycling team where everyone feels at home. As a family, we can grow together, and then nobody knows where it can take us. Yes, SanCor is a family, at its core.

Not too sure if 75% Argentine is possible in the first window but it's a nice target to aim for and i'm sure SN may be able to add one or two riders to make it possible |

Welcome to South America from the Grupo Nutresa organisation. We have similar focus areas, although Colombia is our primary. Nutresa also have an Argentine co-sponsor coming on board for 2015, but not at team-naming rights level. However we should make you aware that we do have 1 or 2 additional Argentines on our radar beyond the two we already have onboard! Given that Argentines are quite thin on the ground, it is to be hoped that a few new names are unearthed. Transfer season is always exciting for everyone, I have no doubt we will be in communication. The excellent organisation of, and cooperation between the 3 existing African Man-Game teams is potentially a lesson for all of us on the South American continent to learn from how to most harmoniously develop the talent of our region to the benefit of all .
