Editing equipment sponsors

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right subforum but I hope so.

So I'm starting a new career with a new sponsor, Bianchi. Unfortunately the bike sponsor attributed is Cannondale, which obviously makes no sense. I can change the bike sponsor with an editor, but when the equipment development message comes up I need to be with Cannondale, otherwise I can't advance anymore. Is there any way to change the bike sponsor and still keep the career going?
