A flat day in Mongolia to decide the nation’s champion. With a profile like this Uugunbayar and Tuulhangai should probably be seen as favourites, especially the first as he is the only one with a team mate on the road.
There’s an attack by Daspuntsag and Delgerbayar with 50km to go
And they build an ever growing advantage that records 20min by the final time we pass through the finish line. They are going to decide the title between themselves
Delgerbayar tries to distance his breakaway companion right before the final sprint begins…
…and that’s enough to secure him the title. Oz cycling will be happy to retain a colourful NC jersey in 2015
Time for TTing in Mongolia. Three riders are reasonably good in this discipline and will fight each other for the title. They are: Daspuntsag, Altanzul and Delgerbayar
Daspuntsag is the first to hit the road and records a time of 1h11’53 and awaits the other two.
Altanzul goes 16’’ faster to take the hot seat away from his predecessor with a time of 1h11’56
But there’s still one man left. It’s Delgerbayar, who has been devouring all intermediate checkpoints. Will he be able to register yet another best time at the finish?
Yes he will, with a time of 1h10’39, Delgerbayar is the new Mongolian ITT national champion. Congratulations, tsmoha!
