Anything other than a massive win for Amador in the Costa Ricn TT will be shocking.
The Bolivian should go slightly less comfortably to Ibanez, but still not much doubt as to who is the favourite.
Ibanez is already 47 seconds faster than his closest challenger Campero at the first intermediate.
Amador is 1'08 faster than Brenes on the first intermediate time.
So that was all the exitement we could bring concerning the ITT as the time differences keep on growing for each km ridden.
Hopefully this mountain race will be a bit more exiting than the TT.
Odds are it will go to a break, but with a couple of very strong rider in there and no one having any teammates it can be a hard one to predict.
The early break is composed of three Bolivians and one Costa Rican namely Campero, Zurita, Ibanez and Mudarra.
The break quickly gets a good gap but then Amador decides to set a hard pace on the climb behind resulting in great suffering for his companions.
As the first group crosses the summit these are the time gaps:
Amador gets up to the front group on the second small top resulting in an attack fron Ibanez on the first part of the downhill.
He builds a gap of 1'36 before he has to go up another mountain while the remaining six have rejoined behind.
Campero bridges the gap on the first part of the climb with Mudarra trying to do the same, but not quite having the legs needed.
No reaction behind just yet.
At the summit Mudarra have finally jined the other two and the gap to the chasers have grown to 9'40
Campero is off!
As the first rider enters the final climb this is the situation:
Campero lasts all the way to take the Bolivian title
Mudarra digs deep knowing that a 3rd place today means that he is the National Champion of Costa Rica!
