Installation problem: corrupt files

Hello guys

I bought the disc version PCM 2014 today and tried to install it on my notebook (acer aspire 7740, old but no big problems with pcm 2013) and during the installation i stumbled over corrupt files (quellcode error).

That never happened to me with the pcm series and other games until now.
A second try didn't work either because halfway throught the installation process some landscape building files are corrupt.

Did someone had the same experiences during the installation or does someone know what I should do right now?

I'm probably going to ask cyanide to give me a proper download version of the game or demand a new CD.
Any other suggestions?

What you can try is to copy all the files from the disk to your harddisk and install from there.

Thanks for the advice.

I was lucky after hours of disappointment.
I searched the net for solutions and deactivated some overwrite options from my dvd drive, cleaned the disc a bit with a towel to be sure.
After three additional futile attempts the installation finally succeeded without errors.Banana

I made two copies of the game in the program folder for different DB's so that I have a backup of the original game files on my hard drive and thus doesn't have to reinstall the game in case I'd mess up some database files.Smile
