10 riders start this thrilling pan flat and not-boring-at-all Argentinian national championship. The Richeze brothers being the top favourites given their sprinting abilities, and especially their top form after the sensational victory in the B world championships!
The Richeze fraternity mount a very interesting strategy putting an attack and bringing Godoy with them
As typical in this sort of race, the rest of the field rests and pays tribute to the awesomness of these three. Their gap increases till infinity and they effectively manage to lap their so-called chasers.
The escapees will decide the victory.
Godoy knows though he won’t stand a chance in a direct sprint and launches an offensive with 6km to go!
But the brothers manage to catch him just before the decisive kms. Godoy will lead them to a brothers dispute.
Max Richeze takes the risk by going first under the kite…
...and he takes the title from his brother!! Nice tactics from him and his sibling to dominate the race.
The rest of the startlist finishes outside of time.
Given the fact that Max is already the B world champion, Mauro will be given the opportunity to wear the argentinan jersey. Their mum must be proud!!Edited by Gustavovskiy on 18-03-2015 18:27
The Argentinian TT championship will be contested by 10 riders, but of these, only 2 of them stand realistic chances of reaching the celestial blue jersey: Eduardo Sepulveda and Daniel Ricardo Diaz.
Sepulveda starts second last and immediately begins taking every provisional best time at every checkpoint. Can Diaz beat him?
They start neck-a-neck with the latter spending 2 more seconds than his rival at the first checkpoint.
He continues to lose time, spending 6 more seconds at the 2nd check…
And will continue to do so till the finish line, which means Eduardo Sepulveda takes 2014’s Argentinian ITT NC!! congratulations
