Time Trial

The ITT should be a matter between Russom, Teklehaimanot and Kiflay.

Russom was the first of those three out and he sets a solid time early on 32 seconds faster than Eyob on the first intermeditate.

As suspected that was not fast enough to keep the lead all day.

Road Race

A day in hilly terrain.
Teklehaimanot, Berhane and Russom are the favourites on paper so keep a close eye on everyone else…

Kiflay opens the attacking

He gets company by Okbamariam, Abraha and Tewelde and it quickly gets obvious that those four will battle for the win today.
The 10 minute barrier is crossed with 37 km to go for the break.

Kiflay is first to attack again, but is covered by Tewelde, who obviously wants to secure his team a NC-jersey after Eritel will be the main sponsor next year.
He should have the best kick in this group as well.
2 km to the finish line and the four is reunited.

Everyone seems to keep roughly the same speed so the first to hit the hill has an advantage today, though things can still change when the gradients go down a bit towards the finish line.

Kiflay gets a very deserved win after an agressive race.

A slight bit of racing happens behind to no avail.
