How can I play the variants of a database in career mode?

In career mode, the variants will appear at the start of a new season. Every season, variants will change.

Either they'll pop up in a new season or you need to edit the savegame in such a way that it is played in the first season. This can be done by editing gene_sz_currentvariant in STA_Race and gene_sz_variant of all stages in a race in STA_Stage.
