*Note #1: Thanks for SN, who played this stage instead of me (since it used to crash with my PCM)
*Note #2: Finish line bug here - the actual finish was about 300metres behind the line that you will see on the screens!

The only flat stage here: 110km in total, featuring a quite tricky finishing loop with a short climb close to a downhill finishing stretch.

Those few pure sprinters, who made it here, will certainly aim for today: Peeters as the clear favorite on paper.

The break of the day consists of 4 riders - neither a real threat for the GC nor for the KoM competition:

They establish a 2'10"-gap with 77km remaining and won't contest for the two mountain sprints (Chavanel taking the first, Herrada the second)..

Dell, TomTom and Lierse start showing some interest to chase as we reach the halftime of the stage:

3'42" disadvantage for the peloton at this point.

TomTom as the most dominant team in this pursuit, narrowing the gap to 1'20" with now 21km to go and the riders already in the finishing loop.

The day's intermediate sprints would also go to the breakaway group: except of the final sprint (which went to Chavanel) they also went uncontested though.

10km before finish, the peloton is soon to catch the escapees, with Lierse, TomTom and Dell still as the most notable chasers!

About 4km before finish, we see the trains for the bunch sprint being built. Quite interesting to see Lierse disappearing from the front of the pack:

2.8km to go and Dell's train with Young pulling goes into the leading position. There's quite some movement on the further positions behind TomTom's train, where Moreno is now at the front..

Moreno launches a late attack on this short final climb! The Spaniard (14th in GC) goes with 2km remaining: will he fool the sprinters?

A strong kick for sure: Moreno opens up a gap with the hilltop approaching! The situation behind has changed again, let's have a look who's in the mix for the stage then:

So Moreno as a promising GC-contender going strong towards a huge win?

GC-leader RodrÃguez also still in the mix, while Rodrigues struggles to move forward..

Moreno entered the final downhill sector with a promising gap, but the Spaniard somehow stops pushing as he enters the finishing stretch! That's anything but a smart move, to say at least..

Tuulhangai left Young's slipstream and surprisingly crossed the hilltop with a notable advantage over the remaining riders in the mix: Vitoria, Milan, Clavero/Young, Haedo, Peeters, Aulas, RodrÃgez and Brus!

Tuulhangai though goes strong! There's no real sign of anyone being able to beat him today!

Moreno finally found back to some speed, as he kicked off his sprint. He's losing ground against Milan or Vitoria anyway..

The winner looks certain, but the battle for bonifications may become interesting:

Milan on second with Vitoria, Moreno, Young and Haedo almost head-to-head! Also GC-leader RodrÃguez moves forward with some great speed now..

Tuulhangai with an impressive win today! He ain't exactly known as a complete sprinter, but simply defied his climbing skills on this final hill to take the stage in style.

As said before, there's some confusion about the actual finish line, but the race organizers finally make a decision:
