Yesterday I installed pro cycling manager 2014 on my laptop, but when I click on the play button I get a black screen that immediately closes again. And sometimes I get this report:The graphics auto-configuration utility was unable to identify your video card. Default setting were applied, but these may be changed via the options page. Over-optimistic settings may lead to poor game performance!. I have allready tried to update my drivers but this doesn't help. My computer is running windows 8.1 and I am using this graphic card; AMD (ATI) FirePro M4000 (FireGL V) Mobility Pro Graphics.
Can somebody please help me? Thanks in advance. |

Are you sure that that graphics card complies with the minimum system requirements of the game?
You can check your computer here: https://www.system...12223/?p=r
BTW: Could it be that you have two graphics cards in your notebook? I think there was a problem with switching between the integrated GPU and the game GPU. In that case, you would need to contact the customer support if this game and/or the support of the notebook vendor and/or notebook producer.

I just did the test and my computer passes the requirements, my computer has only one graphic card: AMD FirePro M4000 Mobility Pro (1GB).

Another reason for the problem could be the screen resolution. You can set it manually in the config file. I cannot remember the location of that file but I have posted about it before, maybe you can find a previous discussion using the forum search.
The file could be called options.xml, so you could also try to find it using the search in the file explorer in your computer.
Edit: I found my old post where I posted the location of the config file: https://pcmdaily.c...ost_956929

Also, even if your pc passes the minimum requirements. Often, mobile GPUs(those ones in laptops) are not supported by games. But tried you following:
-Driver update
-re-install of the Game
Otherwise, do what Lachi said.

Did you set the resolution to the native resolution of your notebook? what is the native resolution?
On this option file, there should be something about intro videos, try to turn them off. I guess you have to put 0.

The resolution of my screen is 1920x1080 I have allready removed the intro videos but that didn't help. |

Sorry, I'm out of ideas but did you check the technical FAQ in the official forum yet? |

I guess the problem occurs because of the mobile GPU in a notebook. Often it is not supported by games. I think there is no fix for that, but maybe I am wrong and there is a fix.
