The Tour de l'Avenir can finally start. Thanks again to the ManGame's mastermind SN for helping the race organizers to get this thing running!

A 9km prologue through the heart of Brussels is on the menu today and we have a few clear favorites for this: Haugard, Zmorka, Jungels or Howson as pure TT-specialists, while also GC-favorites like Shikai or Lecuisinier may hope for a good start into this tour.

12'23" for the time to beat today!

+ 7" as provisional 2nd..

+ 8" as 3rd so far!

So none of those early starters came really close to Zmorka, as also i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/jag.png Hamza and another GC-contender i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/prp.png Reis missed out on his time by 11" eventually..

As we're getting to the next promising contenders for the stage, we notice the wind blowing a bit stronger (from 10 to 20kmh now)..

+ 2" as new 2nd and quite a strong showing!

new BT, actually! And what a performance, Jungels takes the lead by 7" on Zmorka!

..the wind comes at 27kmh in the meantime! Hard to say, if that's a factor, since Jungels went for the BT with stronger winds than Zmorka had..

+ 4" to finish behind Jungels though!

+ 13" as new 5th, so the best of all GC-favorites!

+ 19" as 16th eventually. Not quite what he was hoping for, to be honest. Still below those magic 20 seconds..

The top-favorites delivered, but Jungels had the very best day here.

Vesuvio with quite a boost of motiviation to already slip into yellow on this opening day. And with only Coquard amongst the best sprinters inside the 20-seconds-mark, this could well be the same guys on the podium tomorrow!
