Cigar City Brewing Twilight GP
Roextro
i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/CigarCityBrewingTwilightGP_zps7de3bcf0.png

Twenty seven laps, 179km and fifty four total cobblestone sections. Tampa is ready, the riders are ready so here we go!

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00001_zps3ervbbm6.jpg

Break of five went up the road, they were i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ioa.png Abraha, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lin.png Lehiten, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/vtb.png Fonseca, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/pum.png Markus and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ttt.png Van Ooijen.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00002_zpspku0y3he.jpg

The peleton kept a firm leash on the break away and for a majority of the stage the gap hovered at around four to five minutes.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00003_zpsbjhnsbel.jpg

With sixty kilometers left, the peleton decided that the break should have no chance whatsoever of taking the stage so they picked up the pace and brought the gap down to three minutes.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00004_zpsf9brindu.jpg

A decisive move was made with twenty two kilometers, a total of five riders attacked, they were i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/tas.png Takenouchi, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lpu.png Joseph, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/csc.png Altur, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png Ostergaard, they were spread out all over the road and had yet to form a solid group.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00005_zpsaepvxd3h.jpg

The five did manage to join five kilometers later, they had a 57” second gap to the bunch and the break had 1’24” to the peleton.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00006_zpsjaewbgqn.jpg

The break and the five man group formed into a ten man group, however as soon as it happened i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png De Haes bolted from the group, the group had 46’ seconds on the peleton.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00007_zpsy0ri5dqq.jpg

With seven km left i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/csc.png Altur was reeled in along with the morning breakaway. i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/tas.png Takenouchi, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lpu.png Joseph, and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png Ostergaard had formed a chase group of three to chase down i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes who was nineteen seconds up the road and had twenty five seconds to the peleton.

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00008_zpsiuz3ouwe.jpg

For some reason the peleton decided to ease off the pace and the three man got thirty nine seconds and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes had fifty seven seconds

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00009_zpsb7662zyd.jpg

However, in a matter of five hundred meters an unorganized bunch sprint was launched, the three man group was swarmed within seconds, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes still had fifty seven seconds

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00010_zpsf6z3cqyx.jpg

Unfortunately for i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes he was pedalling octagons and looked completely depleted from energy

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00011_zpsfsjgly5s.jpg

Meanwhile, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png Lilholt seemed to get the best start from the peleton i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De haes was 52 seconds away though

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00012_zpsgdemmaxb.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/mlj.png Matzka came storming up the middle and looked strong with one km to go, but i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes was forty seconds away

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00013_zpsw2id04qs.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes takes the win!

i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj521/Jihardy/2015-01-08_00014_zps7xo2jg9y.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/mlj.png Matzka gets second but first in the peleton, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/tcu.png Rathe comes in third while i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/azt.png Farrar comes in 4th, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png Lilholt faded completley and finished 12th
